Paddle out from the beach in front of the village. The take-off sits over rock, so watch your feet at low tide.
Board for todayLongboardMid-length
A longboard, mid-length or fish. It's a soft, short right, good for trimming and noseriding.
Right in the village: rentals, schools, cafés and toilets steps from the water.
Local tip: A good fallback when Anchor Point is crowded or too big.

The mellow right in front of Taghazout village, sheltered behind Anchor Point. Hash Point is softer and slower than its neighbours: a playful, sectiony wave that's ideal for improvers taking the step from the beach to a point. With the cafés right on the rocks it's also the easiest spot to check. It needs a decent NW swell and works best from low to mid tide with a NE wind.
Watch out: Rocks exposed at low tide; shared with swimmers near the beach.
Hash Point is at its best from October to April, on a WNW–NNW swell with a N–ENE wind. Best tide: low to mid. Check the 10-day forecast above for the best window each day.
Yes. Hash Point is one of the friendliest waves in the area on small and medium days. On big days, leave it to experienced surfers.
Hash Point starts working at about 0.5 m on the face and is best between 0.8 and 1.6 m. Above roughly 2.2 m it gets heavy and best left to experts.
Right now the sea is about 19.4 °C. Recommended: 3/2 mm full suit. Over the year it ranges from about 17 °C in February to 22 °C in September.
