Spot guide

Morocco's most famous wave and the reason Taghazout became a surf town. Anchor Point is a world-class right point break, named after the old anchor factory on the headland. On a solid NW swell it peels for hundreds of metres, with walls, tubes and sections all the way to the bay. It needs a decent swell to start working, and it is at its best in winter with a light NE wind.

Watch out: Crowded line-up and rocks at the take-off; respect the locals and the priority rule.
