Spot guide

A soft, slow right at the river mouth near Tamraght and Aourir, named after the banana plantations behind it. Banana Point rolls in gently over sand with a few rocks, so it's a favourite with longboarders and surf schools when there's a NW swell. It's sheltered from the north wind and usually rideable when the outside points are too big. Mid tide is best.

Watch out: Very crowded; water quality drops after rain at the river mouth.
